Галочка позволяет отображать на плане вложенное семейство аннотаций, даже если воздухораспределитель установлен не параллельно уровню. Новая категория «Дополнительные каркасы MEP» Эта категория больше ориентирована на модуль Fabrication — то есть для производителей и монтажников воздуховодов. В России им не пользуются, так что пригодится ли категория — непонятно. Кроме того, заметил ещё в 2023 Revit категорию «Виброизоляторы», её видно только при создании параметра с типоразмером семейства, в других окнах не заметил. Та же ерунда с категорией «Обозначения подъемов и опусков». Фильтрация по отметкам труб, воздуховодов, лотков и коробов Теперь при создании фильтра для труб, воздуховодов, лотков и коробов можно выбирать кучу всяких отметок, в том числе с учётом изоляции.
Стандартная светлая тема Новая темная тема. Мы делали, но немного не доделали. Но старались. Есть три варианта на выбор: Нет — то есть работать, как и раньше, подбирать высоту по высоте и длине текста в ячейке; Все — задать всем строкам минимальную высоту, но если какой-то текст не влез по длине и переносится, то высота строки тоже увеличивается, а изображения масштабируются при изменении ширины столбца; Строки изображения — если в спецификации несколько строк, и в каких-то есть изображения, то строки с изображениями будут не выше указанного значения, остальные — адаптируются по размеру и длине текста. Теперь выполнять бесполезное требование по высоте строки в 8 мм стало легче, но есть нюанс… с некоторыми спецификациями ADSK-шаблонов это будет работать криво. Теперь в свойствах типа и экземпляра эти параметры сортируются по имени в алфавитном порядке, и это хорошо. Кроме того, при выделении элемента в такой модели, можно увидеть свойства элемента, но только для той, что подгружена из облака. Dynamo 2. Взаимодействие с видами и листами Теперь можно выделить в диспетчере несколько видов и спецификаций и сразу все перетащить на лист.
Revit их сам раскидает, потом нужно будет руками поправить и готово. Если вид размещён на листе, то можно нажать по нему правой кнопкой мыши в диспетчере и выбрать команду «Открыть лист» — Revit откроет лист с этим видом. А ещё можно перенести виды с листа на лист новая команда в контекстом меню по правому клику на виды в пределах листа в диспетчере.
Это решает проблему с несколькими разделами в одном проекте и невозможностью давать одинаковые номера листов. Очень полезно — давно нужно было сделать не думаю что было сложно реализовать 3. Массив То же очень полезное изменение в поведении массива, теперь при создании массива можно указать и 1 элемент и 0 элементов. Массив при этом не ломается и не выдаёт ошибок, лишние элементы просто скрываются.
В проектах не самая нужная вещь, а вот при создании семейств избавляет от некоторых костылей. Массив с несколькими элементами Массив с 0 элементов 4. Как говориться Мелочь, а приятно. Будут более аккуратные чертежи особенно узлов с меньшими затратами времени 5. Окно свойств Типоразмера В окне свойств типоразмера добавили кнопку сортировки параметров По умолчанию — По алфавиту, и теперь это окно запоминает ширину столбцов при закрытие окна раньше сбрасывалось. Даже не знаю, вроде полезно, но совсем мелочь. Размышлял над этой тёмной темой и почему о ней говорят как о большом улучшении, на мой взгляд она может быть удобна когда в темноте работаешь, чтоб глаза не уставали.
This year I have chosen to do something a little different and split the videos into two separate areas. I will focus the first video on the Revit platform changes that will benefit all Revit users. The second video will focus solely on the structural changes and new features both in Revit 2023. Like many interface updates, these are quite subjective; some will love the dark theme and others will want to stick with the standard interface.
I have also noticed that some of the browsers and dialogs are still using a white background, so, if you are using the system browser the dark theme will look a little odd. We have also gained a search function in the Project Browser which is incredibly useful, not just for searching views but also the loaded content. I can then just drag theses into the project to use them. This new visual style allows users to see textures without having to use the realistic mode which uses lighting and other settings.
I quite like this new visual style; it works well and is significantly faster than realistic. Of course, you can also use this in plans, sections and elevation views for presentations. The models can be used for in-context modelling and have rudimentary snapping via the Revit point snap function. In the example below you can see that I have linked a bridge pier across from Autodesk Docs that was authored in Autodesk Inventor.
This is a great way of integrating models from many other BIM and manufacturing authoring tools. Topography updates Toposurfaces have now been discontinued in this release and the new toposolid tool is now the preferred method to create topography. There have been several improvements with the introduction of toposolids such as the ability to cut the toposolids and also incorporate thickened layers to create raised solid regions. These can be used to represent basic landscaping and roads.
In the example below, a toposolid has been excavated around concrete foundations by cutting the family from the solid. If required, the excavated volume can then be displayed. The second example shows a retaining wall. The toposolid can be cut vertically on the back face of the wall which makes editing the toposolid very simple.
If desired, cut and fill can also be calculated with a toposurface by using graded regions. Sheet, Revision and View updates Building on the updates from the previous releases, Autodesk are making working with sheets a little easier. In Revit 2024 we can now move views between sheets and keep alignments and positions.

Place Multiple Views and Schedules Multiple selected views and schedules can be dragged from the Project Browser onto a sheet.
These are spaced out sufficiently so they do not overlap, but they likely require manual adjustment once placed. It is also possible to drag views from one sheet to another within the Project Browser as shown in Figure 16, in which case the views are positioned in the same location. Figure 15. Resizable Dialogs There are over 20 existing dialog boxes that have been enhanced to allow resizing.

Family parameters are unchanged from previous behavior. Architectural The architectural discipline has several new features and will make a lot of architects and designers happy. Of course, we will all have wishlist items not found in the update. Be sure to head to the Revit Ideas site and make sure you post or vote for enhancements you want. Here is an example of a much needed enhancement to the Bind Revit Link Revit Idea that would maintain phases — most do not realize that all phase settings are lost when you bind a Revit link until they need to do it! Textures View Style Revit has a new view style called Textures.
I was in the beta user group for this one. It is a cross between shaded and realistic. It shows the appearance asset texture but without global lighting, so the materials are a consistent color on all surfaces and at all angles. It is possible to have ambient and sun shadows on in this mode as shown in the examples below. Figure 19. Textures view style example with ambient shadows on. Figure 20. Sun settings on ribbon When running a solar study, the sun settings are now presented on the ribbon as shown below. Clicking the sun setting button opens the traditional sun settings dialog with the same settings. Another enhancement includes the ability to select much shorter time increment options. Figure 22. Site tools Looking at the massing and site tab below, you will notice a lot has changed.
The site tools represent the most significant change in Revit 2024 for architects, which is both exciting and a little scary! We now have a toposolid command rather than a toposurface. As the name change implies, the ground is now represented by solid geometry rather than a 2D surface. This is the exciting part. Missing from the ribbon below is the building pad command, which is the scary part — I will explain this in the next section. Figure 24. Comparing Revit 2024 site tools to previous versions. Toposolid Replaces Toposurface Although the toposurface and building pads are no longer available, they are preserved when a model is updated to Revit 2024. Those elements can be modified and copied.
You just cannot create new instances as the commands are gone.
The use of BIM tools has significantly transformed how buildings are designed and constructed; therefore, it is not surprising that most Revit Software users belong to the construction industry. The release of Revit 2024 is quite interesting. However, the software is not evolving slower than the industry would like. Some of the tools should be recreated from scratch instead of getting patched. Nevertheless, Autodesk did a good job overall.
This article covers the general and architectural features of Revit 2024. The new design includes redesigned icons for both light and dark themes, which aims to reduce screen glare and enhance the viewing experience. After using it, I prefer it. The Canvas Theme button on the View ribbon tab enables easy switching of the graphics window between light and dark without affecting the rest of the interface. Interface adjustments are available in the options on the Colors panel.

Toposolid Replaces Toposurface Although the toposurface and building pads are no longer available, they are preserved when a model is updated to Revit 2024. Those elements can be modified and copied. You just cannot create new instances as the commands are gone. Figure 25 shows a toposurface and building pad after an initial model upgrade. Figure 25. Example of a pre-Revit 2024 toposurface and building pad. To convert a toposurface, select it and follow the steps shown in Figure 26. Step 2 involves selecting a toposurface family type that can have several surface characteristics preset. Figure 26.
The steps to upgrade a toposurface to a toposolid. The toposurface is not deleted as this would delete the building pads which need to be recreated manually. Since there is no building pad tool, Autodesk recommends that an in-place mass set to cut the toposolid be created, as shown in Figure 27. This provides a lot more options, like tunnels and sloped edges. The biggest challenge is that the workflow is not as intuitive for the average Revit user, in my opinion. Figure 27. The suggested replacement for the building pad tool is an in-place mass void. Sub-regions are automatically converted to sub-divisions. Figure 28 shows the various type settings for this new element.
Notice two things. First, the toposolid is fundamentally based on the floor element. Second, the contour settings are now set per object type rather than globally. Figure 28. Toposolid properties. Knowing that the element is essentially an enhanced floor element, note that apply materials is a little odd. Then I had to paint a grass material on the surface. The tricky part with painting is that the surface is made up of several facets and required several picks to paint the entire surface. Toposolid — Creation Workflow A toposolid is created similar to a floor element.
You start by sketching the perimeter of the ground to be defined and then finish the creation mode. Next, you select the toposurface and use the Add Points option on the ribbon, adjusting the offset value also on the ribbon. Roads and walkways are created using the Sub-Divide tool found on the ribbon when a toposolid is selected. This is similar to the sub-region tool where an enclosed area is defined within the larger toposolid perimeter. The result is a solid extrusion which conforms to the ground and can be adjusted vertically. However, the sub-divide height cannot be negative. The last image in this section shows how a mass void can create a tunnel in the toposolid.

By default, both application macros and document macros are disabled. The workaround was the order of creation to get them sorted, which not always worked that well. Project Parameters are alphabetically sorted in Revit 2024 Note The Family Parameters are excluded from this sorting enhancement and will always be sorted above the Project Parameters. Best New Features in Revit 2024 Next to the major overhaul of the User Interface, menus, and options, Revit 2024 introduced some other nice features which I listed below. From a flat surface Toposurface we are now allowed to create a solid 3D geometry with the Toposolid. This new feature works like any other system family, such as floor, roof, etc. It is not advisable to do this as it will likely be deleted in the future. As mentioned, Toposolid works like any other system family and can be created out of different layers with thickness and different materials. The new template contains six pre-made Toposolids with varying layers, giving you examples of how to create, roads, grassland, jetty, and lakes. While using the new Toposolid, you can cut this solid with other elements, such as Walls, Floors, etc. As a result, the graphics inside the view will now show correctly. This method can be more complex and time-consuming, but allows you to create any shape you want. Hopefully, we will get a better tool in the future.

Drag multiple views to sheet. Place multiple views, legends and schedules on a sheet at once. The views will be placed in a grid format. Improved schedules. Ability to create schedule that contains revision clouds provides a suitable way to track issues in your project. You can use Comments, Mark, and Revision parameters alongside with other groups of parameters that you can select in the upper drop-down menu of the Schedule Properties dialog. Apply revisions to multiple sheets. Improved Scope Boxes. Fixed issue related to display of 2D regions in 3D families. The display of 2D regions created in 3D families is consistent in family and project environment, vector and raster print.
Also you can use draw order for the regions. Improved Dynamo 2. This menu makes it easier to create input nodes; it recommends nodes that you can use as inputs. Hardware acceleration for Dynamo.. It ensures better performance; you can find this option in the Preferences dialog, Visual Settings tab, and it is enabled by default. In-product node documentation.
This feature enables you to view node documentation in a side panel directly in Dynamo instead of in an external browser. Improved Dynamo Player. Dynamo Player provides the Issue Viewer to displays warnings. Dynamo Player provides the Graph Dependencies to display missed packages.
In Revit 2024 we can now move views between sheets and keep alignments and positions. The best feature is being able to add a revision to multiple sheets. Multiple views can now be moved to other sheets either by selecting the views or simply dragging and dropping from the project browser. Revision clouds can now be scheduled which, again, has been a long-standing request from users. The revision schedule can be created in a similar way to any other schedule. However, we now can schedule fields from the Revision, Sheet, View and the Project Information which is useful when issuing sheets. Structural Updates As in the previous release, the focus remains on the workflows and toolsets with the analytical modeling process. Also, we see some strengthening of the reinforcement tools with the addition of bending details and alignment control when using freeform rebar. I will also look at the update from Revit 2023. Loads have been overhauled and the older non hosted loads have been replaced with parametric, intelligent Point, Line and Area loads. These new tools are easier to use and increase accuracy and predictability when creating loads in Revit. Reinforcement Let us begin with the new features and updates with reinforcement. I will begin with the Bending Details which will be especially useful for non-standard rebar shapes. Here in the UK United Kingdom we only tend to detail non-standard shapes and only show these details in the bending schedule, but I know that other countries have a requirement for bending details on all rebar. Bending Details are created as true vector geometry and, as such, will update and change automatically if the host rebar is amended. Bending details can be placed in views by selecting the reinforcement bar and then selecting the Bending Detail command from the context ribbon. The detail can then be placed in a free location, or you can use the Align to Bar command to keep the detail orthogonal. The Bending Detail is driven by standard Revit Type properties and, as such, you can have multiple types that you can use in different situations. The Bending Details also make use of Revit dimension styles so you will need to setup a couple of dimension styles to support the Bending Detail tools. You can also configure the amount of detail that is displayed within the bending detail. For example, you could simply show the segment length dimensions or recover all the dimensions and angles for each segment as well as hooks and linear dimensions. There are also a few options around the unfolding or offsetting of Bending Details. When you have shapes such as links that overlap it could be confusing when showing lengths and angles of the hooks.
There are six site solids to choose from in the type selector. I added a floor, slab edges, and then a section box , which allowed me to create the detailed view below. Nothing overlapped, YES! You can also change the structure and material of TopoSolids, allowing you to create more complex site elements such as lakes, hills, roads, and more. I can now use voids or floors to cut site models, which makes it much easier to create section views and have lots of printable details in place. This is a great addition that eliminates the need to use floors or other workarounds to create site elements. This view style allows you to view materials with textures without the performance hit of the Realistic view. The Textures view style is ideal for creating presentation-ready views that showcase your design intent and material choices. Shaded visual style. Textures visual style. I find it very helpful to be able to create high quality images of my model without having to spend too much time or resources. This is a simple but handy feature that can save you time and clicks when creating sheets.
Массив То же очень полезное изменение в поведении массива, теперь при создании массива можно указать и 1 элемент и 0 элементов. Я так не работаю уже давно, только при хорошем освещении. Но всё таки это косметическое улучшение, на то как работает программа не влияет.

Currently, the Bending Details cannot be tagged but I am sure that Autodesk will add this functionality in future releases. The bending details could also become a solution for certain detailing conventions such as tick and tag in sectional views and the display of bars in plan.
Dialog windows can be resized. Project parameters are sorted alphabetically. You can add prefix to the parameter name to sort it as you want. In Revit 2023, the project parameters are sorted chronologically. Improved visualization Improved integration with Twinmotion.
Auto Sync with Twinmotion provides a live link between Revit and Twinmotion. New visual style: Textures. This visual style displays material textures consistently, without lighting effects. Доступны два новых образца графиков: «Случайное размещение экземпляра семейства» и «Предупреждения — изоляция элементов». Изображения доступны в качестве выходных данных в проигрывателе Dynamo. При внесении изменений и повторном запуске графика изображение обновляется. Можно сохранить изображение из проигрывателя, щелкнув его правой кнопкой мыши.
Траектория солнца на видах в перспективе! Теперь операции редактирования путем перетаскивания доступны на виде в перспективе. При работе с видами в перспективе можно перетаскивать солнце вдоль его траектории Изменение размера всех строк в спецификациях, размещенных на листах! Теперь для четкого представления компонентов, таких как текст, изображения и графические данные, можно изменить размер всех строк спецификации, размещенной на листе. Для этого на палитре свойств «Графика спецификации» задайте значение «Все» для параметра «Изменить размер строк» и введите требуемое значение для параметра «Высота строки».
Теперь высоту строк в спецификациях можно будет легко настроить по ГОСТ высотой 8 мм. Размещение нескольких видов и спецификаций! На листе одновременно можно разместить несколько видов и спецификаций, перетащив их из Диспетчера проекта или выбрав несколько элементов в диалоговом окне «Выбор вида». С помощью функций поиска в диалоговом окне «Выбор вида» можно легко находить виды и спецификации, которые требуется разместить на листе. Выбранные виды и спецификации размещаются плитками рядом с курсором, что упрощает их упорядочивание на листе.
Сортировка параметров проекта! Параметры проекта сортируются в алфавитном порядке в диалоговых окнах «Тип» и «Свойства экземпляра». В Revit 2024 параметр "Группа модели" переименован в "Модель" Если выделить какое-то семейство, в панели "Свойства" нажать "Изменить тип", то ранее в версиях 2023 и ниже можно было всегда увидеть в разделе "Идентификация" параметр "Группа модели"... Экспорт условных и моделирующих образцов из модели в файл PAT. В диалоговом окне «Образцы штриховки», которое можно открыть на вкладке «Управление», выберите один или несколько образцов для экспорта в файл PAT.
Экспортированный файл содержит определения для каждого выбранного образца. Условные и моделирующие образцы необходимо экспортировать в отдельные файлы PAT. Визуальные стили при предварительном просмотре типа! Для лучшей визуализации того, как элемент отображается в модели, примените к нему визуальный стиль в диалоговом окне «Свойства типа». Воспользуйтесь элементом управления в левом нижнем углу области предварительного просмотра диалогового окна «Свойства типа», чтобы изменить визуальный стиль в этой области.
Улучшенная навигация по Диспетчеру проекта! Для изменения масштаба содержимого в Диспетчере проекта используйте прокрутку с помощью мыши, удерживая нажатой клавишу CTRL.
