He pumps in her bloodstream an unquantified amount of OZ, the drug responsible for the creation of the Green Goblin, the Hobgoblin and also Spider-Man. Upon learning this, she becomes very angry and transforms into a huge, hairy, horned, red goblin-type creature. When she spots the Peter clone who was in the building, she calms down once again and reverts to her normal self. May used to hate Spider-Man because she believed he had no regard for innocent bystanders and hid his face behind a mask. Aunt May seems to be scared of the idea of Peter risking his life on a constant basis, but supports him anyway. After the death of her nephew, she and Gwen Stacy emigrate to France. He is killed by a criminal in a Spider-Man suit, and she blames the real Spider-Man for his death because he became someone criminals could copy in order to hide their identities. While living with the Parkers, Gwen is killed by Carnage, which instills in Peter even more guilt. In Ultimate Spider-Man 98, Gwen Stacy appears again mysteriously, alive and well, and in Ultimate Spider-Man 100, she is revealed, in a hideous twist of fate, to be the new Carnage, along with being a clone of the original. The examination also reveals no trace of the symbiote. Having witnessed the accident that turned his father into the Green Goblin, he was trained by a psychiatrist to repress these memories. After reverting to his regular form, Harry is detained by S. D, much to the dismay of Peter. He is seemingly murdered by his father in Ultimate Spider-Man 117. However, as revealed by a revived Green Goblin that the OZ makes him and Spider-Man immortal, it is possible that Harry might be alive somewhere. For the majority of the series, she is mutant-phobic. It was recently revealed that she herself is a mutant due to her mother being impregnated by the Blob. She eventually becomes Firestar. Shortly after that, Peter revealed to Liz that he was Spider-Man. Although he dated Kitty Pryde for a short period, they have ostensibly broken up. Kong has not been seen for a number of issues and may have moved out to the Midwest. As her identity is public, Kitty wears a green and yellow masked costume when she fights alongside Spider-Man to avoid giving away his identity.

Вселенная Marvel [неформально] существовала с конца тридцатых годов, поэтому взять с полки магазина случайный выпуск тех же «Людей Икс» и понять, что в нём происходит, выходило далеко не всегда. Не помогали ситуации характерные для супергероики цветастые образы и почти театральная манера диалогов и подачи сюжета. В 1996-м комиксы о Мстителях и Фантастической четвёрке были переданы на аутсорс авторам из Image — конкурирующей компании, основанной бывшими талантами из Marvel и DC. По итогу это были комиксы, не нужные ни былым фанатам, ни новым читателям, что негативно сказалось на оценках критиков.
Фильм Зака Снайдера так назывался именно поэтому. Marvel, после успехов Бирна на «Фантастической четвёрке», «Людях Икс» и «Женщине-Халк», надеялись, что спасительное чудо удастся воспроизвести. Во-первых, Джон Бирн по сути пересказывал классические сюжеты о Питере Паркере в современных декорациях, что не обеспечивало достаточно самостоятельной художественной ценности для старых фанатов и по-прежнему казалось устаревшим в глазах новых. Её фокусом были персонажи второй линии, вроде Сорвиголовы, Карателя и Чёрной пантеры, и каждый из них тогда заметно прибавил в популярности: редактор пригласил ряд талантливых авторов из независимых комиксов и поощрял эксперименты. Появление вселенной с молодыми версиями персонажей — никак не объяснять чтобы не нагружать новоприбывших и просто выпускать посвященные ей комиксы параллельно основному континууму чтобы не потерять фанатов классики. Вместе с ним в новой инициативе Marvel появятся секс и повышенная жесткость, но также станут современее затрагиваемые темы — к свойственному супергероике крушению городов будут подходить серьёзнее, после теракта 2001 года карикатурное злодейство уступит место терроризму. Миллар деконструировал и критиковал классические архетипы — «хорошие парни» в его исполнении нечасто были хорошими людьми.
Вместо работы с актуальной повесткой, он нацелился на вечные вопросы — взросление и ответственность. Вместо деконструкции и критики сценарист старался наполнять комиксы вдохновением и надеждой.
К тому же в новой вселенной тетя Мэй мертва, а дядя Бен жив и работает с племянником в газете «Дэйли Бьюгл». К тому же Питер женат на Мэри Джейн Уотсон, и у них двое детей. Хронологически новая серия комиксов продолжает сюжетную арку Ultimate Invasion, где Создатель переделал Землю-6160 таким образом, чтобы многие известные супергерои просто не появились на свет.

2022 In Review:
Питер решает выкрасть его для завершения работы, но субстанция случайно попадает на него, давая ему новые силы. К несчастью, костюм оказывается неуправляемым и чуть не убивает Питера. Первый выпуск — это знакомство с новой вселенной, с Паркером, его миром и окружением в ней. И нельзя не восхищаться снова и снова, как Хикман взял паучий лор, перемешал его и выдал нечто совершенно новое, но в то же время до боли узнаваемое и естественное: дядя Бен жив а вот Мэй погибла незадолго до событий комикса , работает редактором и дружит с Джоной Джеймсоном и мало того, что у них вышел шикарный дуэт, так это ещё и две очень важные для Питера фигуры, сведённые вместе , Фиск захватил Бьюгл, Бар без названия — обычный бар суперзлодеев-то нет пока , а с Гарри Питер даже не знаком.
Не говоря уже про имена детей: Мэй — это вообще живая классика, а Ричард назван в честь деда, отца Питера. В итоге получается шикарный ремикс лора Человека-Паука, от которого вееть чуть ли не ностальгией, но который при этом готов удивлять в самых неожиданных моментах. И в то же время первый выпуск — это почти шекспировское "Быть или не быть?
Marvel Comics as a publishing entity are in their best possible position when Spider-Man comics are most accessible to readers. All due respect to the many writers that have put their stamp on the character over the past two decades, but when the Webslinger is easy for anyone to pick up and readto enjoy without the frills of anything else in the lineMarvel thrives creatively. Jonathan Hickman and Marco Checchetto have given Marvel the chance to let both of these things be true at the same time in Ultimate Spider-Man 1; so please Marvel, for the sake of your readers and your characters, let them cook. It offers solid artwork, witty scripts, and familiar variants of the beloved Spider-Man characters. Marco Checchetto is an ideal choice for developing a band new Ultimate Marvel Universe. Checchettos art style is simultaneously comic-standard, realistic, and pays appropriate homage to artists who have come before. I really hope he sticks around on this book for years. The hope of a truly amazing Spider-Man story in comics felt like a bygone conclusion.
