По сюжету главная героиня по имени Вики Уокер умирает и попадает в загробную школу, где учатся ангелы и демоны. Это почти дословный пересказ событий оригинальной новеллы — вплоть до некоторых реплик персонажей. Интересно, что в выходных данных книги не указан ее автор. Так что неизвестно, насколько сильно в создание текста была вовлечена сценаристка первоисточника Алиса Паломарь. В будущем АСТ планирует выпустить и другие произведения по мотивам игры. Похоже, издательство верит в успех новеллизаций и интерес со стороны фанатов, ведь «Секрет небес» выпустили огромным тиражом 25 тысяч экземпляров.
Для сравнения, средний тираж художественного произведения в России составляет от двух до пяти тысяч копий. Больше — только у детективов и именитых авторов вроде Виктора Пелевина. У главной героини типичные и понятные проблемы: бывшие отношения, разлады в дружбе и учеба.

Тот скажет, что нам лучше здесь не находиться. Наблюдаем за диалогом между Альбертом и Джоном. Доктор задаст нам вопрос — знаем ли мы Йоке? Но зачем им нужна Йоке? Все хорошо. У немцев заболел гауптман и ему нужна медицинская помощь. Так как врача нет, его лечением будет заниматься Джон, а ему требуется помощь Йоке, поскольку вторая медсестра Эдит терпеть не может кровь и не хочет работать. Путь циника: поинтересуемся, зачем же тогда она выбрала медицину. Идем к Йоке и все рассказываем ей.
Она не захочет уезжать, чтобы не расставаться с родными. Теодора понимает, что ее подруга готова бросить работу ради близких. Джон решит ехать один, а тем временем Йоке будет помогать больным в местном госпитале. Героиня захочет сопровождать его, но тот не возьмет ее с собой. Путь циника: убедим доктора, что журналистка ему пригодится. В итоге он примет ее предложение. Собираемся в путь. Если выбрали Йоке: «Я хочу быть с тобой» - завяжутся отношения с ней. В своей комнате меняем наряд и прическу, а потом идем попрощаться с Лоуренсом.
Он примет наше желание уехать. Путь циника: скажем, что он сам все понимает. На улице Теодору уже ждут. В пути героиня решает: «Подумать о Лоуренсе» - это решение улучшит отношения с ним. На границе города девушка увидит нескольких повешенных людей. Обер-офицер скажет, что их повесили, чтобы запугать местных жителей. Нам укажут на дом, где можно остановиться на ночь. Больной ждет врача на следующий день. Теодора решает посмотреть жилище и находит фото.
Ее беспокоит судьба хозяев дома. Доктор решает успокоить девушку. Джон будет задавать разные вопросы, чтобы узнать о нас больше. Серия 7: О преступлениях Клуб Романтики. На этом этапе главной героине нужно сменить прическу и костюм. Девушка осматривает кольцо, которое ей когда-то подарил брат на день рождения. Смотря на украшение, она решает: «Окунуться в воспоминания» стоит 26 алмазов - узнаем новую информацию. Вдруг она натыкается на военного из немецкой армии, который прилег вздремнуть. Девушка добралась до черты города. Она видит незнакомого человека рядом с повешенными горожанами. Он хочет забрать тело висельников, своих родственников, чтобы похоронить их. Я лучше пойду» - ничего.
Путь романтика: Теодора хочет написать об увиденном статью, чтобы про это узнали многие. По дороге героиня встретится с Фридрихом. Он скажет, что девушке не стоит гулять в одиночестве. Путь романтика: Теодоре приятно, что мужчина проявил заботу. Девушка увидит красивый цветок и решит сорвать его. Что делать с ним дальше? Мужчина скажет, что пора возвращаться, но ей этого не хочется.

Я не выберу другого фаворита в этой истории, если на то пошло - это будет первая новелла где я закончу одиночкой, но клянусь, замену ему я искать не собираюсь! Я не теряю надежду на то что Джон жив, и он до сих пор бессмертен. Некоторые люди думают что Джон передал Теодоре своё бессмертие, но мне кажется что нет.

Думаем в это время: что мужчина говорит ерунду — получим балл циника; что нас просто пытаются предостеречь — получим балл романтики и порадуем Лоуренса тем, что серьезно его восприняли. Баркли предложит нам отправиться в Бельгию вместе с его группой, на что мы с радостью согласимся. В поезде познакомимся с друзьями Лоуренса. Один из них спросит нас, зачем мы едем.
По пути романтика и циника наш ответ будет отличаться. Если нам удалось построить хорошие отношения с Баркли, то он примет нашу сторону. В ином случае помогать нам он не станет.
Через некоторое время мы приедем в Туркуэне и окажемся возле пограничного поста. Там мы покажем все свои документы офицеру, которому захочется узнать, зачем мы все же приехали: мы хотим показать истории обычных людей — офицер оценит ответ; мы приехали показать себя и свои способности — офицер не оценит такой ответ. В любом случае вместе с Баркли мы доберемся до Брюсселя.
Жить мы будем в разных местах, так что он на всякий случай даст нам свою визитку. Решаем, как поступить: поцелуем парня в щеку за 12 кристалликов — Лоуренсу будет приятно такое наше проявление чувств; обнимем парня — улучшим с ним отношения; просто пожмем руку — ничего. Немцам удастся взять город без боя за один день.
Прогуливаясь по городу, мы увидим девушку Йоке, которую не хотят выпускать из города к ее семье. Решаем, как поступить: пригласим ее на чай за 12 кристалликов — девушка будет благодарна нам за заботу; спросим, где она живет — ничего. Мы задумаемся о своих мотивах.
По пути романтики мы просто хотим помочь девушке, по пути цинизма — собрать удачные материалы. Йоке расскажет нам свою историю, и мы решим, что должны помочь ей. Для этого мы позвоним Лоуренсу, чтобы нас пропустили по документам журналистов.
Баркли захочет узнать, зачем мы пригласили его: мы считаем, что путешествие с ним будет безопасным — ничего; нам очень хочется, чтобы он был с нами — улучшим отношения. На следующее утро мы направимся к контрольно-пропускному пункту. Мы должны будем обмануть пограничников, представив Йоке одной из журналистов.

Йоке познакомит нас со своей семьей, после чего предложит нам остановиться в местной гостинице. Лоуренс сразу отправится туда, чтобы работать над статьей, а мы решим прогуляться по городу. По пути мы зайдем в таверну и выпьем вина.
