As with all flywheel blasters, you need to hold it for a moment before pulling the primary trigger to fire. Firing the Regulator is similar to other flywheel blasters — hold the rev trigger for a moment and pull down the primary trigger. The only difference is that you need to select the mode… With the selector, the regulator is really good fun to fire! It could do with larger mags than those supplied, but it fired hard enough and fast enough for an N-Strike blaster. The firing velocity is on par with the rest of the Elite of about 70 feet per second and the trigger response time is as expected from an electronic feeding mechanism like this For those that are interested, there appears to be a sensor in front of the flywheel mech that detects if a dart has been fired. As I mentioned the semi and burst modes are electronically controlled so they will complete their cycles with any amount of trigger input and this sensor makes this possible as a misfire would screw up if it was just timed The one issue I did find was that the conveyor belt slipped off its tracks a few times. This lead to changes in the rate of fire as the conveyor feeding system was not consistently pushing darts into the flywheels. This attaches like any other stock but it holds a magazine on the back, which is pretty useful. In the top, it also stores the carry handle attachment. The stock is a little short for me, but I am a full-grown adult and it is about the same length as the other N-Strike stocks We have already mentioned the carry handle barrel. This features a male and a female attachment point so you can attach that in between any other barrel combination you could possibly want. The top of the handle pivots and clicks into place every 90 degrees so if you want to shoot from the hip, you just turn it to the side and let rip! There is also a little peephole in the top of the carry handle to allow the included sights to have a line of sight so when you attach these other optics you can look through it.
Has a comfortable grip that helps with holding the gun and making accurate shots. In addition to some of these features, the Nerf Modulus ECS-10 is also a desirable choice for most Nerf enthusiasts because of its ability to be altered using other gun parts in the Nerf Modulus series. Therefore, if you own the Nerf Modulus ECS-10 as well as the majority of the other blasters in the Modulus line, you will have no limit to what you can do with your blaster. The options are endless in the Modulus line! The first and the most major aspect that people like about the Nerf Modulus ECS-10 is the fact that it can be so heavily customized. The Modulus series was meant to give Nerf users more freedom and the fact that this blaster can handle over 30 combinations on its own and approximately 1,000 within the series is more than impressive. The next thing that Nerf users love about this blaster is its power. Because the Nerf Modulus ECS-10 is battery-powered and designed to be accurate, it packs quite the punch and is great for almost any type of Nerf battle. Along with the fact that this blaster is powered by batteries and designed to hit its target, the Nerf Modulus ECS-10 also has a much larger range than most of the other blasters created by Nerf and is capable of reaching up to 90 feet. There are generally only three complaints that Nerf enthusiasts have about this blaster. The first complaint is that this blaster requires 4 AA batteries. While this is definitely an improvement compared to some other Nerf blasters that require big batteries or larger quantities of smaller batteries, there is still the issue with the fact that blasters require a lot of power, which means more batteries that have to be purchased.

The alignment is a little high though so if you have a normal optic on the blaster your line of sight is going to be blocked. As mentioned there are two scopes included, the short barrel scope and the long barrel scope…although they are both pretty much the same size! The short barrel scope even has a rail on top so you can stick more stuff on them if you really want! It works pretty well, and with any luck, this will be implemented in future blasters. I am less fond of the blaster shell itself, though.

The regulator comes with 24 darts. I really like that Monkey can play around with the additional bits that come with it to create s shooter that works for him. In addition to the main body you also get a swivel handle to stabilise your shots. Plus two versatile barrel-scopes which can be used as barrel extensions or targeting scopes to optimise your blasts. Monkey figured out very quickly how to put the darts in, use the extra bits to alter the body of the blaster and how to fire it.
He likes to make the blaster as long as possible by adding on the barrel extensions. This NERF blaster ticks all the boxes I would want it to and Monkey, his daddy and his grandfather all enjoyed playing with it.

Step 5: Optional: Dead Space Filling If you do not wish to remove the air restrictors in your blaster, skip this step. This would involve adding padding such as rubber, felt, or soft glue such as hot glue to the inside of both pieces, taking care not to inhibit their function. These modifications complete the AR removal process, and ensure that all projectiles have ample power behind them. Step 6: Reassembling the Mechanism The mechanical modifications of this blaster are now complete. Place the entire section back in the blaster shell, as in picture two. Check to ensure that the pegs on the priming slide are inside of the holes on the bolt sled, as in picture three. If you wish to replace the spring in your blaster, do it now. Some of the first-generation versions of this blaster have issues with accepting 18-dart, "banana," and drum magazines. This problem stems from the shape of the plastic on the blaster shell, which makes the magazine well and surrounding area too small to fit the protruding portions of some magazine sizes. To fix this, we simply need to cut away a few pieces of plastic from both halves of the shell. There are two intersecting planes of plastic that need to be cut down or removed.
These areas are marked in picture three. Cut out these pieces using wire cutters or pliers, as in picture four. Sand down and deburr the plastic in these areas. At the bottom of the gun is a rectangular hole designed to fit a banana clip that can hold up to 10 darts, which comes with the blaster when you first purchase it. This clip amount can obviously be modified if you choose to purchase larger clips that work with this blaster. This button will activate the motor within the casing. Past these basic design aspects and functions, the Nerf Modulus ECS-10 has plenty of tactical rails and attachment points that give you a ton of customization options. Requires 4x 1.
