At the beginning of the idea I thought I can just add a relay to move the table up or down, but soon after opening the case where the buttons are I figured out that there is a microprocessor controlling the table.
Releasing the button stops moving the desk, which means you have to hold a button while the table steadily moves into position, perhaps while you watch for it to line up with a mark on the wall at the perfect height. A single button press should be able to move it to a pre-programmed height.

If the standing desk can handle considerable weights of up to 154lbs, it can hinder its performance. The higher the weight, the more issues of slower height adjustability the motors deliver. But if this is understandable to a certain degree, it is still recommended to avoid loading such weights on the desk.
For durability purpose, it should not deal with its maximum weight capacity. Of course, the standing desk can also come with improved stability. It has some commendable qualities, has a relatively good-looking design, comes in a range of colors and finishes to complement your decor, and offers ample space especially in a large format with sufficient maximum payload. As an IKEA product, there are also plenty of showroom products to customize and match the desk. However, Bekant was let down by a number of very important factors.
