New Features of Revit 2024!
However, we now can schedule fields from the Revision, Sheet, View and the Project Information which is useful when issuing sheets. Structural Updates As in the previous release, the focus remains on the workflows and toolsets with the analytical modeling process. Also, we see some strengthening of the reinforcement tools with the addition of bending details and alignment control when using freeform rebar. I will also look at the update from Revit 2023. Loads have been overhauled and the older non hosted loads have been replaced with parametric, intelligent Point, Line and Area loads. These new tools are easier to use and increase accuracy and predictability when creating loads in Revit. Reinforcement Let us begin with the new features and updates with reinforcement. I will begin with the Bending Details which will be especially useful for non-standard rebar shapes.
Here in the UK United Kingdom we only tend to detail non-standard shapes and only show these details in the bending schedule, but I know that other countries have a requirement for bending details on all rebar. Bending Details are created as true vector geometry and, as such, will update and change automatically if the host rebar is amended. Bending details can be placed in views by selecting the reinforcement bar and then selecting the Bending Detail command from the context ribbon. The detail can then be placed in a free location, or you can use the Align to Bar command to keep the detail orthogonal. The Bending Detail is driven by standard Revit Type properties and, as such, you can have multiple types that you can use in different situations. The Bending Details also make use of Revit dimension styles so you will need to setup a couple of dimension styles to support the Bending Detail tools. You can also configure the amount of detail that is displayed within the bending detail.
For example, you could simply show the segment length dimensions or recover all the dimensions and angles for each segment as well as hooks and linear dimensions. Views linked from Autodesk Docs use permissions from the Autodesk Docs account to manage access, making it easier to use the collaboration workflow when IP protection is important. Snap Points for Coordination Models Use snap points to easily model in context, to measure between two references based on the coordination model points, or to better position the coordination model. If desired, cut and fill can also be calculated with a toposurface by using graded regions. In Revit 2024 we can now move views between sheets and keep alignments and positions. The best feature is being able to add a revision to multiple sheets. Multiple views can now be moved to other sheets either by selecting the views or simply dragging and dropping from the project browser. Revision clouds can now be scheduled which, again, has been a long-standing request from users. The revision schedule can be created in a similar way to any other schedule. In the example below, Bending Details are shown in the bending schedule with the new auto size option for rows with images. In the above image, the segment names are displayed to reduce the amount of space required but you can also configure the Bending Details specifically for use within schedules.
Here in the UK, it would only be necessary to show the bending sketch for non-standard shapes so it would be useful to see a feature where you could control which shape codes use the new Bending Detail and display on the schedule. Again, this is the first iteration, and I am sure we will see other additions to this new feature in future releases. We will now look at a feature that was released in Revit 2023. Whilst this is an amazingly simple tool it really makes a difference when working with rebar. In the example below we have a rebar set which is configured for the spacing and number of bars. If I add additional bars, they may end up on the wrong end of the rebar set. Another new tool in Revit 2024 allows us to control the alignment of freeform rebar when placing along a path. In previous releases, the rebar would stay aligned to the path, but we can now align the rebar vertically if required. An example of this is shown below with the curved wall with a tapering base.
In this example, the rebar is aligned vertically but still runs along the path. Analytical Modelling Updates Many of these updates happened in Revit 2023. Lat year we saw the introduction of an independent analytical model that could be managed and controlled separately from the physical model. To strengthen this workflow, we have some new tools to help with the definition of the analytical model.

Спецификация пометочных облаков Теперь можно создавать спецификацию на пометочные облака — облачка для выделения изменений. В спецификацию можно добавлять как параметры самих облаков, так и параметры из окна «Изменения», свойства видов, листов и сведения о проекте. Выбор полей для спецификации Пример спецификации Пример спецификации Как видите, можно неплохо так настроить спецификацию пометочных облаков, чтобы фиксировать изменения на листах. Если когда-нибудь шаблоны АДСК выйдут для Ревита 2024, то как знать, может, сделаем именно такой вариант внесения изменений. Есть у спецификации минус — подпись, она у меня сейчас сделана в виде параметра с типом данных «Изображение», масштабируется под высоту строки. Поэтому, если делать высоту 5 мм, то изображение становится слишком мелким. В общем, спецификация интересная, нужно изучить подробнее.

Есть три варианта на выбор: Нет — то есть работать, как и раньше, подбирать высоту по высоте и длине текста в ячейке; Все — задать всем строкам минимальную высоту, но если какой-то текст не влез по длине и переносится, то высота строки тоже увеличивается, а изображения масштабируются при изменении ширины столбца; Строки изображения — если в спецификации несколько строк, и в каких-то есть изображения, то строки с изображениями будут не выше указанного значения, остальные — адаптируются по размеру и длине текста. Это БИМ, сударыня. Работа с координационными моделями Так называют в справке модели Нэвисворкса, подгруженные в Ревит. Теперь можно включить точки привязки к элементам этих моделей и ловить их на плоских видах и на 3Д. Кроме того, при выделении элемента в такой модели, можно увидеть свойства элемента, но только для той, что подгружена из облака.
Динамо 2. Подробно останавливаться не буду, не работал с Динамо в 2023 Ревите, сравнить будет сложно. Визуально вроде не особо поменялось. Взаимодействие с видами и листами Теперь можно выделить в диспетчере несколько видов и спецификаций и сразу все перетащить на лист.

It has a livesync plugin to connect with Revit 2024 so that designers can see their projects rendered on the fly. Animation: Walkthrough animations provide a virtual tour of the building, allowing viewers to experience the space from a first-person perspective and get a sense of its scale, layout, and functionality. Revit designers can easily make an animation for their projects, delivering design ideas more effectively to clients. Built-in asset library: Architects and landscape designers using Revit 2024 no longer need to search for models or materials over the Internet.
It allows you to decide if you want to see the contours on the subdivision or not. In Revit 2024: Building pads are gone. Instead, Autodesk recommends using the Massing tool to create void geometry. These tools are more complex and potentially more confusing than building pads, but they allow you to create more complex shapes. In this example, we create a void shape for a parking driveway. You could also use the model in-place tool, but uh... Overall, this is probably for the best... In Revit 2024: Each toposolid type can have different kinds of topography contours. In the type properties of a toposolid, you need to click on Contour Display. You can decide to have a toposolid type with lots of contours. However, the contours are not visible when editing the points. And maybe you want a water toposolid without any contours. In this example, the toposolid is cut to accommodate the foundation wall and footing. The volume of the toposolid accurately reflects the substraction of the these elements. This can be use to create curbs. You cannot use this tool on subdivisions, or on very complex shapes. If someone from Autodesk is reading: please fix this! It would be great to place the slab edges on sub-division. Meanwhile, you can use the railings tool to create curbs. Since toposolids are similar to floors, you can switch the composition entirely and have lakes, concrete pads, and other site components while keeping the original topography points.

Revit-2024: что нового для инженеров
You can modify the structure with materials of various thicknesses. That means you can create fun site elements such as lakes without using floors. When selecting a toposurface, use Generate Toposolid to convert to the new tool. To be safe, you can keep it in the archives. There are a few quirks here. When generating a toposolid, building pads are ignored completely. Also, subregions will be converted into subdivisions. In Revit 2024: Subregions has been replaced by Sub-Divide. The base idea is the same: draw boundaries over the toposolid.
Similarly to sub-regions, you can extend the boundaries beyond the limit of the toposolid without receiving a warning. Sub-Divisions are placed on top of the toposolid. You can then pick a material and set a thickness in the instance properties. Sub-Division have a thickness instance parameter. There is another parameter called Inherit Contours. It allows you to decide if you want to see the contours on the subdivision or not. In Revit 2024: Building pads are gone. Instead, Autodesk recommends using the Massing tool to create void geometry.

Drag and drop the selection to a sheet. Sheets are automatically arranged in a grid layout based on their size. This feature is very useful when working with other teams or consultants using different versions of Revit. This feature eliminates the need to use third-party tools or workarounds to link models from different versions, reducing the risk of data loss or corruption when upgrading models to newer versions.
No more extra right clicks, which means fewer steps. Previously, Revit could only create one EAM that included everything in the model with limited filtering options. Now, you can create multiple EAMs based on different 3D views that include only the elements visible in those views. Note: Linked models are not part of the view. This gives you more control over what elements are included in your energy analysis and allows you to create EAMs for specific parts of your project, such as additions, renovations, or zones. Есть у спецификации минус — подпись, она у меня сейчас сделана в виде параметра с типом данных «Изображение», масштабируется под высоту строки.
